Stock Controller

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Stock Controller to join our lovely Client based in Heywood. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate stocking, organisation, and management of inventory within the warehouse environment. This role requires strong organisational skills, familiarity with warehouse management systems, and the ability to handle materials efficiently. T As Stock Controller, you’ll be responsible for managing inventory across multiple channels, ensuring stock accuracy, and supporting smooth order fulfillment. You’ll work closely with warehouse, buying, and ecommerce teams to monitor stock levels, investigate discrepancies, and optimize inventory flow. Key Responsibilities * Monitor and maintain accurate stock levels across ecommerce and wholesale platforms. * Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and reconciliations. * Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, damages, and missing items. * Update and manage inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS). * Coordinate with buying and merchandising teams on stock availability and replenishment. * Support inbound and outbound stock movements, ensuring timely and accurate processing. * Assist in preparing inventory reports and analysis for management. * Collaborate with warehouse operatives to ensure correct stock handling and storage. * Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and reduce shrinkage. * Support seasonal planning, product launches, and promotional activity with accurate stock forecasting. Requirements * Proven experience in stock control or inventory management, ideally within fashion, ecommerce, or wholesale. * Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. * Experience with WMS and inventory software (e.g., Peoplevox, Mintsoft, NetSuite, Brightpearl). * Good understanding of warehouse operations and logistics. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. * Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. * Proficiency in Excel and basic data analysis (pivot tables, lookups, etc.). * Flexibility to support extended hours during peak periods.
