Our client, a leading Film Studio based in Longcross, is seeking a skilled Seamstress / Curtain Maker to join their production team. About the Role As a Seamstress / Curtain Maker, you will be responsible for creating, repairing, and altering a range of soft furnishings used across film sets, including curtains, drapes, and other fabric-based props. Working closely with the design and set departments, you’ll ensure all textiles are finished to the highest standard and meet production requirements and deadlines. Key Responsibilities * Cutting, sewing, and assembling curtains and soft furnishings to specification. * Liaising with designers and production staff to interpret creative briefs. * Ensuring all materials are produced to a professional, film-quality finish. * Performing alterations and repairs as needed. * Maintaining a clean and organised work area. Skills and Experience * Proven experience as a Seamstress, Curtain Maker, or Textile Fabricator. * Background in film, television, or stage production preferred. * Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship. * Ability to work efficiently to meet production deadlines. * Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
