Management Accountant

Axon Moore are delighted to be partnering with a privately owned  business in the UK, currently generating £250m in turnover and on a clear trajectory to double in size over the next few years through organic growth and strategic acquisitions. This is a fantastic opportunity for a finalist or newly qualified CIMA/ACCA accountant to join a high-growth, fast-paced environment and play a key role in shaping the finance function. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you’ll be responsible for producing monthly management accounts, preparing board packs, managing intercompany and month-end postings, and supporting VAT returns and reconciliations. You’ll also oversee reporting across multiple entities and work closely with a junior assistant accountant, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys mentoring and team development. Key Responsibilities: Produce monthly management accounts with variance analysis Prepare board packs and month-end postings (payroll, accruals, prepayments) Oversee intercompany transactions and reporting across entities Assist with VAT returns and balance sheet reconciliations Support and coach junior team member Requirements: ACCA/CIMA finalist or newly qualified  Experience in preparing management accounts  Strong Microsoft Excel skills Personable and confident communicator with stakeholders Passion for mentoring and team development In return there is a competitive salary and a clear succession plan in place to progress into a Finance Manager role within 12–16 months, making this ideal for someone looking to step up and grow with the business
