Financial Reporting Accountant – 2-5 years post qualification Financial Services / Lending Platform £55-65,000 + bonus + package Manchester (fully remote) A growing consumer lending platform are looking to expand their finance team with the appointment of a Qualified Financial Reporting Accountant. They are ideally looking for a candidate with either a strong audit background who is looking for their first role out of practice or someone with proven statutory reporting experience. The company which is led by a successful Fintech CEO has developed an entrepreneurial approach to consumer lending and offer exceptional levels of customer service through a simple lending platform which has led to continued growth. This role will report to the Head of Finance and offer the successful candidate an opportunity to be a key member of the team and be part of the company as they continue to develop. The role will involve – * Preparing the group and subsidiary annual statutory accounts. * Assist the external audit ream with all queries, finance requests and accounting information as required. * Work closely with all parts of the business ensuring all reporting requirements are adhered to. * Assist the finance team with the production of management reports and board reports & associated commentary. * Assist with external reporting requirements from regulatory boards. * Help with the production of reports for investors. * Assist with accounting queries that arise across business areas. * Manage reporting timescales, ensuring all deadlines are met. * Help review processes and procedures, making improvement recommendations. * Take an active role in project work, helping the company develop and grow. To apply for the position, you must hold a professional accounting qualification and have a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience. Knowledge of financial services, fintech or professional services reporting would be advantageous.
