Civils & Groundworks Operative / Civils Foreman – Corby Project Location: Corby, Northamptonshire Contract Type: Job-by-job, potential for full-time Start Date: Immediate About Us: We specialise in the installation of high-pressure sprinkler mains for commercial properties, both new builds and retrofits. Our work includes complete civils scopes, pipework installation, and pump house construction. Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Civils & Groundworks Operative (or Civils Foreman) to support our ongoing project in Corby. This role covers trench excavation and reinstatement, bulk excavation for water tanks and pump houses, installation of shuttering, steel fixing, and concreting, as well as construction of brick-built pump houses where required. Key Responsibilities: * Excavation and reinstatement of trenches for sprinkler mains * Bulk excavation for water tanks and pump house bases * Installation of shuttering, steel fixing, and high-standard concrete bases * Construction of brick-built pump houses if required * Assist with pipework installation where necessary * Ensure safe and efficient working practices on site * Work collaboratively with other site teams to deliver projects on schedule Requirements: * Own transport if non-local * CPCS tickets: excavator (above/below 10t), dumper, roller, telehandler * Foreman with minimum 10 years’ experience (NPORS considered if equivalent) * Skilled in shuttering, steel fixing, concreting, and brickwork * Experience managing a small civils team * Proven experience on commercial civils projects preferred What We Offer: * Competitive rates on a job-by-job basis * Potential for full-time employment for operatives showing potential * Opportunities for career progression to site management on larger civils projects * Ongoing work continuity for experienced teams
