Shift Leader

Role Overview: We are seeking a proactive and experienced Shift Leader to join our team at a prestigious trophy building in the heart of the City of London. This is a high-profile site requiring exceptional service delivery, attention to detail, and leadership. The Shift Leader will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring the building runs smoothly and safely, and leading a team of engineers and service providers to deliver outstanding facilities support. Key Responsibilities: * Lead and supervise a team of engineers and contractors during assigned shifts. * Ensure all planned and reactive maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. * Act as the first point of contact for building-related issues during your shift. * Monitor BMS and other building systems to ensure optimal performance. * Maintain compliance with health & safety regulations and site-specific procedures. * Conduct shift handovers and maintain accurate records of incidents, tasks, and updates. * Support the Facilities Manager in delivering continuous improvement and client satisfaction. * Respond to emergencies and escalate issues appropriately. * Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures. Requirements: * Proven experience in a similar role within a commercial or high-end building environment. * Strong technical knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, BMS). * Excellent leadership and communication skills. * Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure. * Relevant qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent in engineering or building services). * IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety certification (desirable). * Experience working in a client-facing role within a premium or trophy building (preferred)
