My client, a Top accountancy firm established over 120 years ago, serves a diverse client base across a wide range of industries. They work primarily with owner-managed businesses and corporate groups, providing a full suite of professional services including audit, accountancy, payroll, tax compliance, and specialist tax advisory services. Following a recent period of sustained growth, their Uxbridge office is now seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join their expanding team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to manage a varied client portfolio and play a key part in the ongoing success of a dynamic and forward-thinking tax department. What is the role? This is a mixed tax position with a strong focus on corporate tax. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of corporate and personal tax clients, overseeing compliance work, and delivering high-quality tax advice. The successful candidate will also support the development of junior staff and contribute to wider departmental initiatives. The firm’s tax team works closely with partners across audit and accounts, offering a collaborative and well-rounded professional environment. Responsibilities: • Manage your own portfolio of corporate and personal tax clients • Review corporation tax and LLP income tax computations prepared by audit/accounts teams • Prepare and review personal tax returns, P11Ds, ATED returns, employment-related securities returns, and EMI scheme returns • Provide tax advisory services and respond to client queries • Oversee project advisory and company secretarial work (including share reorganisations and EMI schemes) • Liaise directly with HMRC and manage enquiries • Supervise, mentor, and review the work of junior team members • Manage workflow, deadlines, and client billing within your portfolio • Contribute to business development and departmental strategy Requirements: • Strong experience in both corporate and personal tax within a professional practice environment • Proven ability to manage a client portfolio and delegate effectively • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills • CTA qualification preferred, although ATT, ACA, ACCA, or qualified-by-experience candidates will be considered • Strong IT skills, including Word and Excel; experience with Digital Personal Tax, Corporation Tax Advanced, and Company Secretarial software desirable Should you have any questions or wish to apply please do not hesitate to contact Clear IT Recruitment Limited.
