BMS Commissioning engineer

About the Role We're seeking an experienced BMS Commissioning Engineer to join our team in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with hands-on experience in Trend or Siemens systems to play a key role in delivering high-quality building automation and energy management solutions. As a BMS Commissioning Engineer, you'll be responsible for commissioning, testing, and handing over Building Management Systems across a range of commercial and industrial projects. You'll work closely with project teams to ensure all systems perform efficiently, reliably, and in line with client expectations. Key Responsibilities Load and configure control programs into BMS controllers Conduct point-to-point checks to verify correct device operation Test and optimise control sequences and alarm functions Integrate the BMS with HVAC, fire alarm, and other building systems Troubleshoot wiring, software, and communication issues Adjust control settings to enhance system performance Complete commissioning and testing documentation Provide operator training and system handover support Essential Skills & Experience Proven knowledge of Trend or Siemens BMS systems Experience producing and managing a programme of works Valid CSCS/ECS site card Understanding of contract and sub-contract principles (advantageous) Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude Team player with a positive approach to work Benefits Company car or car allowance Private healthcare Life assurance scheme 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) Supportive team culture - excessive overtime is not encouraged Interview Process Initial telephone interview Final face-to-face interview If you're a motivated BMS professional looking for a rewarding role with a respected business that values quality, teamwork, and professional growth - we'd love to hear from you. 📩 Apply now or contact us for a confidential discussion
