Road Freight Forwarder

A company specialising in freight forwarding and supply chain management is seeking a Road Freight Forwarder to ensure customer goods are delivered quickly and cost-effectively. The Road Freight Forwarder will ideally have excellent customer service and customer-facing experience, have minimum A-level qualifications, strong planning and attention to detail, and ideally have previous experience in European road freight. Applications from ex-military personnel are strongly encouraged Key Responsibilities: Be the main point of contact for some key clients Develop relationships with key stakeholders and gain a deep understanding of the client’s requirements Manage shipment flows and find solutions for the client Daily handling of shipments/quotes/queries Understand individual customer requirements and build strong and lasting relationships with them Provide excellent customer service and prompt responses Input relevant information into internal systems and follow any relevant procedures Take ownership of your workload and manage tasks Knowledge, skills and qualifications: Essential: A-level qualifications Excellent customer service and communication skills Strong planning and attention to detail Desirable: Completed a degree Previous experience within European road freight Demonstrable skills within a customer-facing role Salary: £35,000             Benefits: free parking, training and development, electric car scheme, health cash plan, bonus, access to benefits platform and more
