Technical Specialist - Water & Onsite Chemistry Location: Reading, Berkshire Job Type: Full-time, Mon- FridayJoin a forward-thinking team at the forefront of energy transition technologies as a Technical Specialist. This role is based in Reading and focuses on providing expert support for water and onsite chemistry activities across international operations. Day-to-day of the role: Provide technical support and data review to enhance service delivery. Conduct training and competency development for team members. Lead method optimisation and equipment innovation across the laboratory network. Occasionally travel for training and operational audits (no offshore work is expected).Required Skills & Qualifications: Degree (minimum) in Chemistry or a closely related scientific discipline. 3-5+ years of relevant industry experience in one of the following areas: Laboratory Water Analysis: Hands-on experience conducting water analysis, ideally in the oilfield sector. Skilled in using and interpreting data from IC and ICP instrumentation. Onsite Chemistry / Wellsite Testing: Experience performing onsite chemistry at onshore/offshore wellsites. Familiarity with field tests such as water quality, H₂S, Radon & Mercury.
