Domiciliary Care Worker

JOB DESCRIPTION – DOMICILIARY CARE WORKER Our client, a branch of a national Care franchise, is looking for a Domiciliary Carer to care for their clients in a professional and compassionate manner in and around the St. Albans area. Must have a UK Drivers Licence and own car to drive to various clients throughout the day to administer their care, it is not live in care. NO SPONSORSHIP AND MUST HAVE A CAR AND BEEN A CARER IN THE UK. You should be able to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks to help clients which include companionship, dressing minor wounds, administering medication, meal planning, dressing and bathing, doctor’s visits and whatever other help the client needs. * Help clients take prescribed medication * Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.) and with physical therapy exercise * Assist clients with personal care and hygiene * Be a pleasant and supportive companion and play games or walk with clients and encourage exercise and entertainment if they are able * Report any unusual incidents * Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency Skills * Proven experience as a caregiver * Knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR) * Knowledge of wound dressing Salary paid at £13.00 per hour for weekdays and £13.50 in the evenings and on weekends. Petrol / diesel is paid at 45p per mile. PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO SPONSORSHIP FOR THESE ROLES, MUST HAVE THE RIGHT TO WORK IN THE UK AND HAVE THEIR OWN CAR AND DRIVERS LICENCE
