Salary: Dayshift role GBP38,000 GBP42,000 per annum + Overtime (x1.33)

The Role

We are seeking a CNC Programmer / Setter Operator (or an experienced Setter/Operator who wants to step up into programming). This is a varied role primarily focused on turning, with some milling work as required. You ll be working in a clean, structured and supportive workshop not an overworked environment.

Responsibilities

• Set, operate and (depending on experience) program CNC lathes and mills.

• Produce one-off and low-batch precision components to tight tolerances.

• Work on Haas, DMG Mori lathes, Citizen and Star SB sliding heads.

• Use Fanuc controls (and conversational options where required).

• Select tooling, set work offsets, and ensure parts meet quality standards.

• Collaborate with the team to maintain workflow in a friendly, well-run environment.

• Assist with training and cross-skilling across different machines.

Requirements

• Experience as a CNC Setter Operator (turning essential, milling advantageous).

• Programming skills (Fanuc or conversational) preferred or a genuine desire to learn.

• Sliding head experience (Citizen / Star) highly desirable.

• Ability to work from technical drawings to produce high-precision parts.

• A proactive, positive approach with good communication skills.
