Job Title: Teaching Assistants – Literacy Specialist & Part-Time TA Opportunities Location: Southwark (Primary & Secondary Schools) Ofsted Rating: Both schools rated Good Start Date: ASAP About the Roles We are currently working with two fantastic schools in Southwark, both rated Good by Ofsted, who are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their teams: 1️⃣ Secondary School – Literacy Specialist * The school is seeking a Teaching Assistant with strong Literacy teaching experience. * Candidates trained in the Lexonik Phonic Recovery programme are highly desirable. * You will support literacy interventions, small-group work, and 1:1 support to raise attainment. 2️⃣ Primary School – Part-Time TA * The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant to work Monday to Wednesday. * You will support pupils across the classroom with learning, behaviour, and social development. * A great opportunity for someone looking for part-time, consistent work in a supportive school. Responsibilities: * Provide tailored support to students (1:1 and small groups). * Deliver or assist with literacy interventions (secondary role). * Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons. * Help pupils to regulate behaviour and stay focused on learning. * Ensure safeguarding and welfare standards are maintained. Requirements: * Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant (primary or secondary). * Strong Literacy teaching experience (secondary role). * Ideally trained in the Lexonik Phonic Recovery programme (secondary role). * Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff. * Flexible, supportive, and enthusiastic approach to working with children.
