Data Specialist

Job Title: Data Specialist Role Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Specialist to manage, analyze, and maintain data across enterprise systems. The role involves ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility while supporting business intelligence, reporting, and decision-making processes. The Data Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data management practices with business needs. Key Responsibilities: * Collect, clean, validate, and maintain large volumes of structured and unstructured data. * Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across databases and systems. * Support data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. * Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support business insights. * Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to define data requirements. * Monitor data pipelines and resolve data quality or processing issues. * Implement and enforce data governance, security, and compliance policies. * Contribute to process improvements in data management and reporting workflows. Required Skills & Experience: * 3–6+ years of experience in data management, data analysis, or related roles. * Strong knowledge of SQL, Excel, and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL). * Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik). * Familiarity with ETL tools and processes. * Understanding of data governance, data quality, and compliance standards. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. * Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Preferred: * Exposure to cloud data platforms (AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery, Snowflake). * Knowledge of Python, R, or other scripting languages for data manipulation. * Experience in banking, financial services, or enterprise IT environments
