My client is seeking a Family Solicitor to join their law firm in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire. Hybrid working is available. They are a well-established regional multi-services law firm, highly regarded for their family law expertise. The firm prides itself on delivering a supportive and professional service to individuals, ensuring empathy, commitment and trust are at the heart of everything they do. Key Responsibilities • Manage and assist with a caseload of private family matters, including divorce, financial remedy, separation agreements, and children issues. • Work closely with senior solicitors and partners, gaining hands-on experience with client meetings, case preparation, and negotiations. • Draft a range of legal documents including consent orders, financial agreements, cohabitation and prenuptial agreements. • Attend court and mediation where appropriate, with the opportunity to develop advocacy skills. • Maintain accurate case management records in line with firm procedures. • Provide a compassionate, client-focused service, supporting individuals at what can be a difficult time. • Contribute to the growth of the department through involvement in business development and networking activities. Requirements • Recently qualified solicitor (NQ – up to 1 year PQE) with a completed training seat in family law, or strong prior paralegal experience in family matters. • Passion for family law, with a genuine interest in developing expertise in divorce, finance and children work. • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with clients in sensitive and emotionally charged situations. • Good drafting, communication and organisational skills. • Willingness to learn and develop, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. • A commitment to building long-term client relationships and contributing to the firm’s continued success.
