Estimator - New Build, Refurbishments & Extensions

Job Title: Estimator (New Build, Refurbishments & Extensions) Location: Manchester Type: Full-Time, Permanent About the Role We are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our team in Manchester. You will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions across a range of projects, including new builds, refurbishments, housing schemes, schools, and extensions. Key Responsibilities * Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender returns using Conquest estimating software (essential). * Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to produce accurate pricing. * Source and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations. * Work closely with project teams, clients, and consultants to ensure clear communication on pricing and scope. * Support the handover of successful tenders to the delivery team. * Maintain an up-to-date library of rates, costs, and supplier information. Requirements * Proven experience as an Estimator in construction, with projects covering new builds, refurbishments, housing, schools, and extensions. * Strong, hands-on experience with Conquest estimating software is essential. * Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills. * Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction processes. * Based in or able to commute to Manchester.
