Job Opportunity: Contraception Specialist Nurse - Primary Care (1 Day Per Week)

About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Contraception Specialist Nurse to join our friendly primary care team for 1 day per week. This role is pivotal in providing comprehensive contraception services to our diverse patient population, ensuring access to high-quality, patient-centred care.

Key Responsibilities
Fitting and removal of intrauterine devices (IUD/IUS) and contraceptive implants.
Providing contraception counselling and advice tailored to individual patient needs.
Supporting patients in making informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health.
Conducting follow-up appointments and managing any complications or concerns related to contraceptive methods.
Maintaining accurate and thorough clinical records in line with best practices.
Collaborating with the wider healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.

What We're Looking For

Essential Qualifications and Skills:
Registered Nurse (NMC Registered).
Accredited training and competence in coil fitting/removal and contraceptive implant procedures.
Experience providing contraception and sexual health services in a primary care, community, or similar setting.
Desirable Attributes:
Friendly, approachable, and patient-focused with excellent communication skills.
Ability to work independently and efficiently within a multidisciplinary team.
A commitment to continuous professional development.
