Cnc Setter Operator Programmer

S&D Trade Recruitment is working with one of our clients to recruit for CNC Setter Operator Programmer at a well-established manufacturing facility in Corwen. This is a permanent position working a 4 night shift pattern from Monday to Thursday, 6pm 6am, offering a consistent 3-day weekend.

Salary for the CNC Setter Operator Programmer is up to GBP39,372.32 per annum, based on permanent night shift hours (Monday to Thursday). Overtime may be available and is paid at enhanced rates.

CNC Setter Operator Programmer Job Duties:

• Set and operate dual turret CNC machining centres in a high-volume, precision-focused production environment.
• Load/unload components, perform part changeovers, and carry out routine maintenance and tooling changes.
• Work from engineering drawings to tight tolerances, use CMM machines and measuring tools to check dimensions.
• Make necessary adjustments to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
• Operate supplemental production equipment including engraving systems, flaw detection tools, and hydraulic presses.
• Follow safe systems of work and standard operating procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and communicate effectively during shift handovers.

CNC Setter Operator Programmer Requirements:

• Experience setting and operating CNC machinery is essential.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and use precision measuring equipment confidently.
• Training o run machining programs, change tooling, complete routine maintenance checks, compete part changeovers, operate supplemental equipment and use CMM & measuring equipment will be given.
• Knowledge of Siemens CNC systems and G-code is desirable but not essential.
• Strong IT skills, with the ability to learn new software and controls quickly.
• Reliable, motivated, and focused on maintaining safety and quality at all times.
• A team player who communicates well and takes pride in their work.
