Bobcat / Skid Steer Operator

Job Summary
Barnsley Recruitment Services are seeking a skilled Bobcat Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a Bobcat to perform various tasks such as moving recycled materials around the site and general housekeeping. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical operations and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment.

External or internal licence accepted.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Bobcat safely and efficiently to complete assigned tasks.
• Perform material handling as required by project specifications.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on the Bobcat to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while operating machinery.
• Report any mechanical issues or concerns to the supervisor promptly.

Experience

• Proven experience operating a Bobcat or similar machinery is essential.
• A valid commercial driving licence is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment.
• Previous experience in construction or landscaping is advantageous.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and physical environments.
