Machine Operator

TSR Ipswich Ltd are currently recruiting for a skilled and motivated Machine Operator to join a busy and growing production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a machine with the added responsibility of leading a small team on the shop floor.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in accuracy and quality, and is looking for a long-term role with growth potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the machine (full training provided)

• Oversee and coordinate a small team (usually 2 people) during the edge banding process

• Follow detailed instructions and specifications to ensure a high-quality finish

• Minimise waste and maintain production efficiency

• Conduct routine machine checks and carry out basic maintenance

• Ensure a clean, safe, and organised work area

• Communicate effectively with team members and management

• Help meet production targets and key performance indicators (KPIs)

What We re Looking For

• Previous machine operating experience (essential, although training will be provided!)

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Reliable and punctual, with a positive attitude

• Able to follow instructions and work independently

• Confident in leading or supervising a small team

• Good communication skills and team spirit
