A well-established and respected precision engineering company based in Leicester is seeking a talented Sales Estimator to join their commercial team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who not only understands estimating but also thrives on building client relationships and spotting opportunities for growth.

As a Sales Estimator, you ll play a key role in driving commercial success through accurate costings, quoting, and identifying new business opportunities. You'll work closely with both production and the sales team to deliver high-quality service and ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and timely quotes for machining and engineering projects
• Analyse customer specifications, technical drawings, and requirements
• Liaise with production to ensure feasibility and capacity planning
• Maintain strong relationships with existing clients, identifying upselling opportunities
• Proactively pursue new business and convert inbound enquiries into sales
• Manage the full lifecycle from enquiry to quote and follow-up
• Track and report on quoting activity, conversion rates, and account performance

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience as an Estimator or Sales Estimator in manufacturing, engineering, print, signage, or a similar sector
• Strong understanding of production processes, costings, and technical requirements
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Commercial mindset with the ability to grow and nurture accounts
• Comfortable reading technical drawings and liaising with production teams
• Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects at once
• A team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Salary & Benefits:

• GBP30,000 GBP35,000 per annum, depending on experience
• Full-time, permanent position
