Production Supervisor

Are you an experienced Production Supervisor looking for your next opportunity in the food manufacturing sector? Protea Recruitment is delighted to be working with a leading food processing facility based in the Scottish Borders, currently seeking a Production Supervisor to join the team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee day-to-day production operations, ensuring production targets are achieved. * Lead and support a team on the early shift (07:00–15:00). * Maintain high standards of food safety, quality, and hygiene at all times. * Work closely with other departments including Quality, Maintenance, and Planning. * Identify opportunities for process improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives. * Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures and company policies. What We're Looking For: * Previous supervisory experience in a food manufacturing or processing environment. * A hands-on leader with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. * Strong understanding of food safety and quality standards (HACCP knowledge desirable). * Ability to motivate and develop a team. * Flexible and adaptable with a proactive approach.
