MEICA Senior Project Engineer – Glasgow Up to £70,000 DOE + Car / Allowance + Package + Bonus First Task Professional are working with a Tier 1 contractor delivering a long-term, secure framework in the nuclear sector. They’re looking to appoint an experienced MEICA-biased Senior Project Engineer to join during the early design stages of a new-build, multi-discipline nuclear facility. The role involves close coordination with external stakeholders including design consultancies and the supply chain to ensure cost, time and quality objectives are met. This is a strong opportunity to join a stable, well-run contractor working on high-security, nationally significant projects with years of secured work ahead. Key Responsibilities and Experience: * Involvement in full project lifecycle from concept design through to handover, with a focus on construction and commissioning * Able to influence engineering solutions from early design stages * Contract and subcontract management experience, ideally with NEC forms of contract * Comfortable managing complex data to assess risks and benefits and inform decisions * Able to communicate technical issues in a clear, straightforward manner * Experience reviewing new developments and recommending improvements * Strong cross-functional leadership, particularly under pressure or unclear situations * Confident in managing complex projects with effective planning and problem solving * Skilled in gathering accurate information, understanding stakeholder needs, and building persuasive cases * Capable of developing high-performing teams aligned with business goals * Supportive leadership style with a focus on mentoring and collaboration For more information, contact Gregor Devlin at First Task Professional
