Business Development Manager

Location: South East & South West (Whole of the Southern Region) Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 basic + 20% bonus (OTE £60,000+) Benefits: EV/Hybrid Company Car or Car Allowance, Pension, Fuel Card, 25 Days Holiday, Full Expenses Are you an experienced sales professional with a background in highways, civil engineering or construction? We're recruiting for a leading UK manufacturer of specialist road surfacing solutions, seeking an Area Business Manager to manage a high-performing region across the South of England. About the Role: You’ll be responsible for promoting a market-leading portfolio of surface repair systems used extensively on UK highways, including major projects like the M25. You’ll be managing relationships with Local Authorities, Main Contractors (e.g. Tarmac, Holcim, Winvic, Milestone), you will be replacing a long-serving manager who is retiring end of 2025. The region currently turns over approximately £2.7 million with lots of ongoing projects. Area Coverage: Whole of the Southern Region. About You: * Proven experience in a field-based commercial role – highways/civils preferred, though related construction materials (e.g. concrete, aggregates, bitumen) will be considered. * Excellent time management and communication skills. * Analytical mindset – comfortable understanding and delivering technical solutions. * Must have on-the-road (OTR) experience and be able to work independently.
