Pastoral Support Officer - Secondary School - Waltham Forest Start date: September 2025 Contract: Full-time (term-time only), long-term Location: Waltham Forest Pay: £105-£120 per day Are you experienced in student wellbeing, safeguarding, or youth support? A secondary school in Waltham Forest is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Support Officer to join their pastoral team and support the personal development and wellbeing of students across the school. About the role: Supporting students with emotional, behavioural, or attendance concerns Acting as a first point of contact for students in need of guidance or support Liaising with families, external agencies, and school staff to ensure continuity of care Monitoring attendance and punctuality and supporting interventions Playing a key role in safeguarding and wellbeing proceduresAbout you: Experience in a school, youth work, social care or similar environment Confident with managing sensitive situations and building trust Strong knowledge of safeguarding practices Excellent communication, organisation and record-keeping skills Enhanced DBS (or willing to apply)Why join this school?
