Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality anaesthetic care for elective and emergency surgeries, including pre-operative assessment, intra-operative management, and post-operative care.
• Supervise and mentor junior doctors, nurses, and anaesthesia technicians.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond promptly to emergencies.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and other departments to optimise patient outcomes.
• Contribute to clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Engage in professional development, research, and teaching opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Specialist registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC).
• Completion of Specialist Training in Anaesthesiology and possession of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of post-registration experience in Anaesthesiology.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centred care.
• Experience in regional anaesthesia, pain management, and intensive care is advantageous.
