Proposals Engineer Norwich Negotiable, based on experience Permanent, Full-Time A leading advanced engineering company based in Norwich is looking to appoint a Proposals Engineer to join their commercial and engineering function. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded engineer or experienced proposals professional to play a key role in managing the end-to-end bid process for high-value, bespoke engineering projects supplied to global markets. Key Responsibilities: Review and manage incoming RFIs and RFQs, ensuring accurate interpretation of scope, technical requirements and commercial terms Work closely with internal teams including Sales, Operations and Engineering to develop accurate cost estimates and bid content Prepare compelling and compliant bid documentation including executive summaries, technical content and pricing models Maintain and update CRM and ERP systems to track bid activity Support bid/no-bid decision-making and lead internal bid review meetings Liaise directly with clients where required to support proposal clarification and negotiation Ensure bids are completed in line with company quality and compliance proceduresSkills & Experience Required: Previous experience in a Bids, Proposals, Tendering or Technical Sales Support role Ability to manage bids from concept to submission Familiarity with BOMs and cost structures Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams) and CRM systems Confident communicator, capable of engaging with internal stakeholders and external clients Highly organised with strong attention to detail Engineering qualification (ONC/HNC/Degree level or equivalent) - Electrical bias desirable Experience with ERP systems and proposal management tools advantageousDesirable: Experience managing bids for complex engineering projects Familiarity with PQQs and formal bid processes Ability to work across multiple bids and meet tight deadlinesThis role is ideal for someone looking to step into a challenging and rewarding position within a highly respected engineering environment.
