The Role: They are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Temporary Works Design Engineer to join their agile Nottingham team. You’ll be taking the technical lead on a wide range of temporary works projects, providing innovative solutions and mentoring junior staff while liaising closely with clients and contractors. Key Responsibilities: * Lead the design and checking of temporary works schemes including formwork, falsework, scaffolding, crane bases, excavations, propping systems, and access platforms * Collaborate with contractors to develop safe, buildable solutions on fast-paced construction sites * Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, codes of practice, and CDM regulations * Provide support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians * Represent the company at client meetings, site visits, and project reviews What They're Looking For: * BEng/MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering * Chartered or nearing chartership with ICE or IStructE * Solid experience in temporary works design and an in-depth understanding of construction methods * Strong communication and leadership skills * Proficient in design software such as TEDDS, CADS, or Revit * Solutions-oriented mindset with a hands-on approach Why Join? * Supportive and flexible working culture * Varied project portfolio with real autonomy * Career development and mentoring support * Friendly, close-knit team environment with regular social activities * Office located in the heart of Nottingham with excellent transport links
