Legal Administrator - Remortgage


Anderson Knight is proud to be partnering with a reputable legal services provider to recruit a Legal Administrator to join their high-performing Consumer Lending (Remortgage) team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous experience in remortgage, conveyancing, or financial services, looking to develop their legal support career within a busy and supportive environment. As a Legal Administrator, you will play a key role in progressing remortgage files from instruction through to completion. You’ll liaise with clients, lenders, and third parties, manage legal documentation, and ensure that cases are handled accurately and in line with regulatory requirements. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm Glasgow City Centre (Office-based) Salary: £25,000 – £27,000 DOE Key Responsibilities: • Assist in progressing remortgage files using a case management system. • Review and action lender instructions, redemption statements, and supporting title documents. • Liaise with clients, lenders, solicitors, and other stakeholders to gather and clarify required documentation. • Prepare and distribute legal paperwork such as completion and discharge documents. • Conduct routine legal and compliance checks, including title review, identity verification, and conflict clearance. • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records across all active cases. • Monitor shared team inboxes, ensuring timely responses and appropriate follow-up or escalation. • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory obligations, including GDPR and AML. • Provide general administrative support to assist with the smooth running of the department. Requirements: • Experience in an administrative role, preferably within a remortgage, conveyancing, or financial/legal services environment. • Understanding of the remortgage process and lender documentation. • High attention to detail and strong data accuracy. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Outlook. • Confident and professional communicator, both written and verbal. • Strong time management and ability to prioritise in a fast-paced setting. • Familiarity with working in a regulated environment and handling sensitive client information.
