Location: Leicester

Shift: Mon - Fri
Salary: up to 33k

Job Role Responsibilities:

The Sales Estimator will play a key role in managing estimating enquiries while also developing and maintaining strong customer relationships. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, has strong technical knowledge, and is passionate about customer service and commercial success.

  • Prepare accurate quotations from customer drawings using knowledge of CNC manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure full understanding of customer requirements and communicate them effectively to relevant internal departments.
  • Review successful quotes; conduct contract reviews to confirm pricing, revisions, and quantities, and update the Master Price List accordingly.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer enquiries, addressing both technical and commercial issues.
  • Identify, contact, and develop new customer accounts to support business growth.
  • Schedule visits for the Commercial Manager with new and existing customers.
  • Coordinate with planning, production control, and engineering teams to confirm company capabilities and lead times.
  • Maintain and update internal databases and records accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and company policies.
  • Undertake ad hoc tasks aligned with skill set and business needs.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and company standards

The Candidate:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing engineering environment as an Estimator or Sales Executive.
  • Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills, including a professional telephone manner.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks.
  • Proven track record of developing customer accounts.
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems or ERP software.
