Industrial Refrigeration Service Engineer Location: Midlands, Home Counties, South East England Salary: £38,000 – £52,000 + Overtime + Travel Allowances + Package Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent I'm working with a well-established, privately owned business that specialises in industrial (NH3) and commercial refrigeration systems, as well as air conditioning and wider M&E services. With over 22 years in operation, they’ve built a strong reputation for reliability, quality, and long-term customer partnerships. Due to continued growth, they’re now looking to take on experienced Industrial Refrigeration Service Engineers to support their expanding service team. This is a mobile role covering sites across the Midlands, Home Counties, and South East, focused purely on service and maintenance work (installations are subcontracted out). The Role Mobile service & maintenance of refrigeration systems and associated plant Working across various customer sites, typically within a 4-hour travel radius 50-hour working week, with approx. 10 hours allocated for travel Any travel time beyond the 10 hours is paid additionally Diagnose and repair faults, ensure efficient operation of systems Part of a 1-in-4/5 call-out rota Ideal Locations Midlands Home Counties South East England Requirements – Essential: CO2 Handling Hyrdrocarbon F-Gas certification Minimum 2 years’ experience in industrial refrigeration Full UK driving licence Confident working independently and within a team Excellent communication skills UK residency / right to work in the UK Willingness to travel and participate in the call-out rota Desirable: Experience with SCADA, RDM, and electrical controls Commissioning experience IPAF and CSCS card City & Guilds Level 2/3 in Refrigeration/Air Conditioning Ammonia Safe Handling certificate What’s on offer: Basic salary: £38,000 – £52,000 (depending on experience) 50-hour working week, incl. approx. 10 hours travel Additional travel time beyond 10 hours is paid Overtime: 1.5x / 2x (after midnight & Sundays) Door-to-door pay (if daily travel exceeds 2 hours) Call-out rota 1 in 4/5: £200 standby for industrial £100 standby for commercial Company van (with personal use) + fuel card iPhone and laptop Private healthcare for engineer and immediate family (under 17s) Pension scheme 25 days holiday + bank holidays Ongoing training and development If you're an experienced refrigeration engineer looking for a long-term opportunity with a supportive and growing company, get in touch today for a confidential chat or to apply directly
