Our client, a large Tier 1 contractor, is seeking a Pway Track Engineer to join their infrastructure project team based in Ipswich. This is a long-term contract role, deemed inside IR35, that involves working on major rail project developments. Key Responsibilities: Analyse track drawings to develop construction methodologies and address any issues through the Senior Project Engineer Produce construction programmes, train plans, and staging diagrams Generate RAMS documentation, including Works Package Plans and Task Briefing Sheets Identify survey equipment requirements for planned works, manage orders, and supervise equipment to prevent losses or damage Undertake surveys and setting out on site Complete quality checklists and required TEF Forms as part of the Network Rail assurance process Produce Stressing Plans and Health and Safety files Present and brief works methodologies, programmes, and technical details Conduct safety inspections and monitor technical compliance for all site and office works Job Requirements: Experience as a Senior Technical Officer (STO), Senior Engineer, or Principle Technical Officer (PTO), with significant experience in a Track Renewals/Enhancements environment Comprehensive knowledge of track standards, processes, and procedures Proficiency in site technical activities and quality control, including surveying, setting out, dozing, and tamping Experience completing material take-offs and volume calculations using design drawings for the import of aggregates (Type 1/Ballast etc.) and export of spoil from site Skilled in project planning with up-to-date knowledge of the latest plant, equipment, and technology Understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and CDM Regulations 2015 Essential Certifications: Personal Track Safety (PTS) Stressing Level 3 certification Familiarity with BIM 360 Field If you are a motivated and experienced Pway Track Engineer looking for a challenging contract opportunity, we would love to hear from you.
