NIRAS Ireland is currently recruiting a Mechanical Utilities Engineer to join our client's team based in Sligo. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out and implementing equipment and process improvement initiatives and managing the execution of projects within the group. Responsibilities: Ensure the performance of day-to-day preventative and demand maintenance activity to maintain manufacturing and utility equipment. Establish with the Site Engineering Services Manager the performance goals, schedules and timetables for activities. Assist with the management and supporting of manufacturing / utility / facility project plans. Coordinate maintenance of manufacturing & facility equipment to required maintenance schedules. Preparation of capital expenditure requests for the facility, plant and equipment. Develops monthly engineering metrics for operations, utilities, and facilities which includes owner ship of Site Maintenance Excellence Program to drive operational improvements including implementing cost savings. Issue management reports as requested and on time. Implementation of equipment/process upgrades in an environment of continuous improvement. Implementation of all relevant policies relating to Quality, Engineering & Safety. Supervise external contractors which include development of performance metrics for third party service providers of site services. Negotiate cost and drive quality & performance with external contractors. Prepare appropriate CAPA plans and implement timelines. Essential Requirements: Bachelor s Degree: Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Biomedical, Electronics) or Relevant Discipline 5+Years experience in Facility and Utility Engineering, preferably in a cGMP environment. It may be necessary to re-design elements of manufacturing / utility / facility machinery to adapt to process conditions in order to improve efficiency with a demonstrated track record in managing budgets. Experience in a Electricity, LPHW, Chilled Water and Potable Waer distribution, Compressed Air Generation, Building Management Systems, Environmental Management Systems, Building Safety Systems and Building regulations is desirable
