Full Time Level 2/3 AAT Bookkeeper Job Description

We are a leading engineering company that designs, manufactures, services & maintains material handling equipment for a variety of industries including Wastewater, Municipal Waste, Recycling and Wood industry amongst others across the UK.

Following recent growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic Bookkeeper to join our team based in Fareham. Why not come and join us.

Main Function of role:

• Reporting daily to the Finance Director
• Preparation of accounts to trial balance, journals, pre-payments and accruals
• Purchase Ledger & Sales Ledger
• Assisting with managing cash flow
• Preparing payment runs
• Maintain and update fixed asset register, depreciation etc
• Assisting with preparing VAT returns
• Assisting with monthly management accounts

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Level 2/3 AAT Bookkeeping Qualification or equivalent
• Experience using Sage 50 Accounts
• Have a positive can-do attitude
• Ability to take ownership and responsibility
• Excellent communication and organisation skills and attention to detail
• Able to work on his/ her own initiative and work well as part of a team
• Capable of working on multiple tasks each day, being flexible/agile to match the planned and reactive operational environments due to internal and external factors
