We re working with a highly respected and successful manufacturing business that s now seeking a Technical Buyer to support ongoing growth. This is a crucial role for someone with a strong understanding of technical drawings, materials, and production needs.

Salary to GBP40k Bonus Private Healthcare 25 Days Holiday + BH Early Finish Fridays

Technical Buyer Key Essentials:

• Source and procure technical materials, components, and services aligned with production demands

• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate purchasing decisions

• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support new products and projects

• Manage supplier performance maintaining pricing, lead times, and delivery standards

• Negotiate best value from suppliers on cost, quality, and timelines

• Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring on-time and in-spec delivery

• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control

• Resolve supply or quality issues promptly to maintain production flow

Technical Buyer Requirements:

• Experience as a Technical Buyer within manufacturing or engineering

• Strong understanding of technical components, drawings, and material specifications

• Skilled in supplier negotiations and relationship management

• Organised, detail-focused, and proactive in resolving issues

• Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office

• Strong communicator with the ability to collaborate across departments

This is a full-time, office-based position with working hours Monday to Thursday 7:30am 4:30pm, and an early finish Friday at 12:30pm.
