Commercial Management Accountant


Sewell Wallis are partnering with a well-established, multi-site manufacturing business based in Kirklees, West Yorkshire. We're looking for a hands-on Commercial Management Accountant with strong stock and inventory experience to join a successful and growing organisation. This role plays a critical part in managing and analysing inventory, driving efficiencies in stock control, and supporting wider cost-saving initiatives across the business. You'll work closely with operational teams to influence key business decisions, providing accurate financial insight, especially around inventory performance and cost management. This Commercial Management Accountant role is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being involved in the detail, partnering with departments, and making a tangible impact on performance and profitability. What will you be doing? * Taking ownership of stock and inventory reporting and control processes * Analysing inventory performance and delivering cost margin analysis * Preparing forecasts, variance analysis, and identifying risks and opportunities * Supporting financial input for new product development * Collaborating with supply chain, operations, and sales as a finance business partner * Overseeing management accounts and reporting across multiple sites * Leading and developing a small team of two What skills are we looking for? * Strong experience in manufacturing or FMCG, with a focus on inventory and stock management * Proven track record working in high stock turnover environments * Confidence in managing and improving stock control processes * Background as a Management Accountant with strong analytical capability * Experience managing and developing a small team * Excellent communicator with strong attention to detail What's on offer? * Competitive salary up to £60,000 * Hybrid working - 1 day working from home * Pension scheme * Ability to purchase additional holiday days * 37.5-hour working week * Work across multiple local sites, including Mirfield and Meltham Send us your CV below, or contact Inci Evcil for more information.
