Job Title: Building Services Fabric Bias Multi-Skilled Engineer Department: Estates and Facilities - Operations Reports to: Assistant Campus Maintenance Manager Location: Multiple sites across London Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Work Pattern: Day Shift: 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday (07:00-16:00 or 10:00-19:00, rotating) Night Shift: 42 hours/week, 4 on 4 off (19:00-07:00), including weekends and public holidays Salary: Day Shift: £45,101 - £52,542 per annum Night Shift: Includes a shift allowance of £4,109.78 per annum About the Role We are seeking experienced and motivated Multi-Skilled Engineers with a fabric bias to join a leading London-based higher education institution. These roles are essential to delivering reliable maintenance engineering services across hard and soft facilities, supporting the institution's strategic goals and ensuring a safe, inclusive, and efficient environment for staff and students. Positions are available at campuses located in Whitechapel and Charterhouse Square. About You You will be a skilled professional with a strong background in fabric maintenance, capable of working independently and collaboratively. You will have a passion for delivering high-quality maintenance services and experience working alongside contractors. Key Requirements: City & Guilds Level 3 in Carpentry/Painting or equivalent apprenticeship Hot and Cold Water System (L8) certification (desirable) Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and SOP/EOP development Strong knowledge of health & safety and statutory compliance Excellent communication, problem-solving, and influencing skills Ability to attend site within 2 hours when on standby Eligibility to work in the UK Additional Information Day Shift roles include participation in a standby rota (with standby and attendance payments). Night Shift roles follow a 4-on, 4-off pattern and include a shift allowance.
