Site Manager Vacancy – September Start or Sooner Location: Chatham Immediate Interviews Available | Long-Term to Permanent Opportunity Supply Desk are working closely with a welcoming primary school in Chatham that are seeking a reliable, committed, and experienced Site Manager to join their team. This is a full-time, split-shift position with an immediate or September start, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate. About the Role: We are looking for a proactive and trustworthy individual with a background in site management or caretaking, ideally in a school environment or a similar industry. The successful candidate will help ensure the school premises are safe, secure, and well-maintained for pupils, staff, and visitors. Split shift hours: Monday to Friday, typically 7:00–11:00 AM and 3:00–6:00 PM. Key Responsibilities: Opening and closing the school each day Conducting regular site checks to ensure cleanliness, security, and safety General maintenance tasks such as minor plumbing, electrical work, and decorating Fire safety and health & safety compliance (e.g. fire drills, legionella flushing, COSHH) Preparing the site for adverse weather (e.g. gritting during winter) Managing waste and portering duties Supervising contractors and overseeing external works Responding to urgent maintenance issues or call-outs as needed Ideal Candidate: Based in or near Chatham Driver with access to own vehicle (preferred) Previous experience in site management, preferably within a school or similar setting Fire safety qualifications or strong awareness of health & safety protocols (desirable) Flexible and organised, with the ability to work independently and manage a varied workload Committed to high standards of maintenance and safety If you're looking for a stable, long-term role with the potential to go permanent and you're ready to make a difference in a local school community, we’d love to hear from you.
