Fundraising Officer

Fundraising Officer
Brixton, London (with hybrid working)

About Us

We are Free Tibet, a leading human rights organisation campaigning for an end to China’s occupation of Tibet, as well as the international recognition of Tibetans’ right to freedom.

Our vision is a free Tibet in which Tibetans can determine their own future and the human rights of all are respected. Funded entirely by our supporters across the world, we mobilise active support for the Tibetan cause, champion human rights and challenge those who sustain the occupation.

Our research partner, Tibet Watch, works to promote the human rights of the Tibetan people through monitoring, research and advocacy. We work closely with them to securely obtain, verify and distribute information and news from inside Tibet.

We are now looking for a Fundraising Officer to join us on a permanent, full-time or part-time basis, working 28 - 35 hours per week.

The Benefits

- Salary of £29,000 - £32,000 per annum (pro rata if part-time)
- 25 days’ annual leave plus public holidays (pro rata if part-time)
- Flexible hybrid working with robust remote-working policies
- Pension scheme
- Interest-free season ticket loan
- Strong training, development and career progression
- Supportive, mission-driven culture that values results and wellbeing

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate fundraiser from an individual giving or major donor fundraising background to further their career with our critical organisation.

We’re up against some serious adversaries and need to take the fight to them with bold action, creativity and a commitment to our cause.

We’ll support you to develop your skills and experience levels whether you are early in your fundraising journey to further down the road. You’ll discover professional development options and chances to progress within our ranks.

What’s more, you’ll benefit from a supportive, flexible hybrid working culture, with a collaborative working model where your creativity, development and empowerment are valued. You’ll even have the freedom to take ownership of projects and gain experience across all areas of fundraising.

So, if you’re ready to grow your fundraising skills while powering a cause that needs you, read on and apply today!

The Role

As a Fundraising Officer, you will help grow our movement and amplify Tibetan voices worldwide through income generation, supporter engagement and campaign delivery.

Working across our events and supporter journey portfolio, you’ll review campaign performance to see where we can improve, learn lessons from your analysis and get involved in research to identify new opportunities for growth.

Additionally, you will:

- Manage donor stewardship and respond to supporter queries
- Support the Fundraising Manager with major donor fundraising
- Lead on fundraising logistics
- Help recruit and manage fundraising volunteers
