1:1 Teaching Assistant

Job title: Primary SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Chigwell

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: 450- 500 a week

Are you passionate about making a difference in Children's lives? Join our team at a mainstream primary school in Chigwell as a SEN Teaching Assistant working on a 1 to 1 basis. You'll support children from Early Years to Key Stage 2, working closely with teachers and staff to create an engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and delivering creative activities that support Children's development.
• Aid in the social, emotional, and academic growth of children, particularly those with SEN, including Behavioural and SEMH needs.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students.
• Observe, assess, and track the progress of individual children, maintaining accurate records.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for the children.
• Ensure safeguarding and health & safety regulations are consistently followed.
• Support the preparation and organisation of classroom materials and activities.

What We're Looking For:

• Relevant qualifications in Drama, Dance, Psychology, English, Sports Science, or similar.
• Previous experience in a school setting, youth clubs, or after-school clubs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills .
• A positive, patient, and caring attitude towards children.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
