Job Title: Team Leader Children s Residential Home
Location: Oswestry, Shropshire
Salary: GBP15 per hr plus GBP67.50 sleep-in allowance and bonuses
Hours: Full-time, 2 on 4 off rota

Are you ready to take the next step in your career in residential childcare? We re looking for a passionate and experienced Team Leader to join a dedicated team at a children s residential home in Oswestry.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with an established and values-led provider, supporting young people aged 8 17 with emotional, behavioural, and social needs. The home provides a safe, therapeutic environment where children are supported to recover, develop and thrive.

About the Role:

As Team Leader, you will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, while also providing hands-on care and guidance to both staff and young people. You ll lead by example, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and emotional support at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support a team of residential support workers on shift

  • Build strong, therapeutic relationships with young people

  • Ensure care plans, risk assessments, and daily records are up to date and followed

  • Promote a positive, structured, and nurturing home environment

  • Support with rota planning, staff supervision, and mentoring

  • Act as a positive role model and uphold the home's ethos and values

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent essential)

  • Full UK driving licence (essential)

  • Experience working in a children s residential setting

  • Strong leadership qualities, with a calm, confident approach

  • Commitment to safeguarding, therapeutic care, and positive behaviour support
