Events & Sponsorship Development Manager


Our client is a leading intellectual property law firm with approximately seventy patent and trade mark attorneys and litigators across offices in Halifax, Leeds, Manchester, and Cambridge. Cover patents, trade marks, designs and copyright in the UK. Using their years of experience, to identify and protect IP assets and to uncover and eliminate the risks posed by other people's IP rights.

They are looking for an Events & Sponsorship Development Manager to join the wider Marketing and Business Development team in Leeds city centre, on an 12-15 month fixed-term contract and support the business across offices in Leeds, Manchester, Cambridge, and Halifax.

Responsible for ownership of the events and sponsorships strategy, aligning it with the broader marketing and business development goals. From identifying key industry events to facilitating attorney attendance, evaluating sponsorship opportunities, and analysing performance, directly supporting client engagement and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver an events programme that aligns with our marketing strategy
  • Contact for events-related queries across the business
  • Research and recommend external events that support business development
  • Oversee event logistics with the support of the Marketing & Events Coordinator
  • Support the delivery of in-house events alongside the Content & Digital Marketing Manager
  • Create and manage an annual events and sponsorship calendar
  • Develop data-led insights through event reporting and ROI analysis

Your Skills

  • Proven experience working in a similar role in marketing or business development in a law firm or professional services environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including confidence working with partners
  • Ability to build and manage relationships with key external networks and event providers
  • Commercial awareness, with a balance of strategic thinking and attention to detail
