Rate: 17 - 20/hour PAYE

Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services are currently recruiting a Buyer working on behalf of a leading Energy services company.
This role plays a crucial role in strategic sourcing and supplier management activities. Some of other duties include;
Driving Operational Excellence: You'll be the linchpin in our purchase-to-pay process, ensuring seamless execution and unwavering ERP compliance. Your meticulous attention to detail and proactive approach will keep our procurement engine running smoothly.
Strategic Impact: You won't just be processing orders; you'll be contributing to the development and execution of commodity strategies, making recommendations that shape our sourcing decisions on a global scale.
Building Powerful Partnerships: You'll be at the forefront of supplier management, identifying, evaluating, and developing top-tier suppliers to ensure unparalleled procurement quality and foster mutually beneficial relationships.
Collaborating for Success: You'll work hand-in-hand with internal customers, ensuring their needs are met with proactive communication and early engagement. Your collaborative spirit will foster strong working relationships across the organization.
Championing Innovation: You'll contribute to the implementation of cutting-edge procurement methods and systems, driving process efficiency and ensuring compliance. Your innovative mindset will help us stay ahead of the curve.
Negotiating for Results: You'll hone your negotiation skills by securing the best possible value for medium purchasing volumes, directly contributing to significant savings.
Mastering the Details: From converting purchase requisitions to managing purchase order releases and resolving invoice queries, you'll be the master of the procurement process.
Contributing to Key Initiatives: Your insights and support will be vital to key procurement initiatives, including supplier evaluation, e-procurement tools, and performance measurement
Preferred Skills for the role:
Proven experience within procurement functions
A knack for collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams in operations and engineering settings
(Desirable) Familiarity with Energy, Oil, and Gas industry standards (onshore and offshore)
A strong understanding of business strategy and the ability to align procurement activities accordingly
Familiarity with Operational Management and Quality Processes
Excellent working knowledge of SAP and e-Procurement systems
A creative and innovative approach to problem-solving
Practical experience in driving business improvements
(Desirable) Commercial and contractual experience
