The Opportunity
Based at our state-of-the-art CUBE facility, you ll help our learners gain the skills they need to succeed in the construction industry. You ll teach practical bricklaying techniques to students on full-time, part-time, and apprenticeship courses, mainly from Level 1 to Level 3. You ll work in a well-equipped workshop where health and safety are always a priority, and you ll support our learners as they build their confidence and prepare for work or further study.
Your job is about more than teaching. You ll assess learners progress, give useful feedback, and work with tutors and assessors to link classroom learning with hands-on practice. You ll also help learners stay motivated and focused, offering guidance and support when needed.
You ll prepare teaching materials, manage tools and equipment, and keep the workshop running smoothly. You ll carry out learner inductions, check their progress, and take part in meetings and training to keep your own skills up to date. You ll also be involved in quality checks like standardisation meetings and audits.
A teaching or assessor qualification (like a PGCE or Cert Ed) would be a bonus, but it s not essential . What matters most is your practical knowledge and your ability to inspire others. If you re not yet qualified to teach, we ll support you to gain the right training on the job.

About You
We re looking for someone with solid bricklaying experience who wants to help others learn the trade. You might already be working in education, or you could be a skilled bricklayer ready for a new challenge. Either way, you ll need a good understanding of industry standards and safe working practices.
You ll be someone who enjoys working with people and knows how to explain things clearly. You ll support and motivate our learners, help them grow in confidence, and keep them engaged in their training. You ll also be organised, dependable, and focused on helping students do their best.
