Production Supervisor


A Production Supervisor is required to lead a talented production team of line operatives , in their production of chemical products . Sayjo Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client for this permanent and full-time position, offering a great career in a busy and highly successful company.

We are looking for experience in managing a team or line operatives, within strict safety and compliance standards. Ensuring the highest standards are met with the best efficiencies. Please note that this will include assisting on the lines and lifting of products as part of the role.

The role:

  • Lead a team of 15 across 4 operating lines, allocating duties and supporting efficiency.
  • Ensuring the highest standards of health and safety and compliance.
  • Monitor production schedules and adjust workflows to meet deadlines.
  • Working to ensure quality control and compliance checks are completed and verified.
  • Developing the team with positive management, training and upskilling.
  • Identifying efficiency improvements including reasonable adjustments with machinery through the support of the maintenance team.
  • Problem solving and reporting. This will include basic line maintenance or resets of the mechanical machinery.
  • Creating accurate reports on computer and paper records.
  • Supervise daily production activities, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Monitor production processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Working and planning with all departments to drive the business forward.
  • Recording and communication of KPIs (key performance indicators) to the team and to the wider departments.
  • Preparing stock and products for the line with the best efficiency standards.

We are looking for:

  • Experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Good understanding of production machinery and processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Outstanding standards of compliance and health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of HACCP principles.

Our client is offering a permanent and full-time role based in Brighouse offering:

  • Working hours of 7:30am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, and 7:30am till 11:30 on Fridays.
  • There is free parking onsite
  • With 22 days holiday per annum plus stats, with a Christmas shutdown.
