A well-established global supplier is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to join their UK head office team. With a strong international presence and a reputation for excellence since the early 1980s, this organisation sources from leading European and North American manufacturers and supplies to clients across the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Australasia, and South America.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build or further their career in international procurement and supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and engage with new suppliers globally
• Obtain and evaluate vendor quotations
• Negotiate pricing and terms of business
• Prepare customer quotations
• Place and manage purchase orders
• Track and expedite orders to meet delivery deadlines
• Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams
• Manage supplier and customer relationships
• Provide general customer service support

Ideal Candidate Profile

We're looking for someone who is:

• Confident, organised, and proactive
• Experienced in purchasing, procurement, or logistics
• Skilled in communication, especially over the phone
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment
• Interested in developing negotiation and supplier management skills

Additional advantages:

• Foreign language skills (e.g., German, Italian, Arabic)
• Own transport due to office location
