We are now recruiting a driven, hands-on Deli Manager to lead this exciting store/deli department forward. About the Role We re on the lookout for a passionate and energetic Deli Manager to lead our fresh food offering and deliver an exceptional experience to our customers every single day. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role at the heart of the store. You'll be responsible for overseeing all deli operations from food prep and hygiene to team leadership and commercial performance. Whether it's crafting fresh sandwiches, prepping hot food, or launching a new meal deal, the Deli Manager brings energy, organisation, and culinary pride to every shift. Key Responsibilities Lead and motivate the deli team to deliver excellent customer service and high standards of food presentation Oversee daily food preparation, cooking, and service to ensure fresh, delicious offerings at all times Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in full compliance with HACCP regulations Manage stock ordering, rotation, and waste control to maximise profit and minimise shrink Deliver attractive displays and ensure product availability during peak times Train, schedule, and support staff to ensure smooth daily operations Implement promotions and seasonal offerings to drive sales Monitor performance and KPIs such as sales, margin, waste, and customer feedback Uphold company standards around cleanliness, food quality, and customer experience What We re Looking For 3+ years experience in a deli, fresh food, or foodservice environment Previous supervisory or management experience in retail or hospitality Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures (certification desirable) A passion for food, quality, and customer service Excellent leadership, communication, and organisation skills Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and early mornings Ability to thrive in a busy, team-oriented setting What s On Offer Competitive salary Staff discount and other in-store benefits Training and support to develop your leadership and foodservice skills Career progression opportunities within a growing retail group A dynamic work environment where your ideas and energy are valued Ready to take charge of a thriving deli counter and bring your flair for food and people to a growing business?
