Our client, a global leader in Freight Forwarding is now recruiting for a
Sea Freight Account Manager
to join the team in their Dartford office
My client is looking for either an Account Manager or Senior Account Manager to join the team. The difference comes down to the level of customers and experience you have of handling customers and you're standing in the office.
We are looking for candidates who can look after larger sea freight clients who has experience with imports/exports and can demonstrate their handling of larger/key accounts in their previous roles (along with covering all elements - Clearance, Transport, Bookings etc)
Your main responsibilities
Account Manager Role for new and existing business. Handling all import & export sea freight operational aspects/queries from Customer, liaising with both external and internal customers and suppliers.
Ensuring customers receive the very best service at all times, in line with agreed SOPs, and to ensure a smooth and efficient movement of goods to the Customer.
Financial/Commercial
Make Payments to the shipping lines
Ensuring files are fully costed and profitable
Raising invoices to customers
Operational
Check that the shipping documents are present/in order
Liaise with shipping lines/overseas agents and other forwarding agents
Ensuring any queries are resolved as soon as possible
Check the options re releases (Line Haul/Merchant Haul/Rail)
Arrange releases, PIN numbers and restitution
Providing prompt and professional Customer Service to all clients
General Administration
Telephone work
Cover for other members of the team during busy periods
Package and Benefits
Salary 30,000 to - 42,000 Circa flexible for the right candidate
Hours Monday to Friday - Flexible working patterns of 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm or 10am-6pm.
