Location: Livingston (some initial training in York)
Salary: GBP42,000 starting + GBP2,000 annual increments
Benefits: Choice of GBP320/month car allowance or company vehicle
Contract: Full-time, Permanent (6-month probation)
Start Date: September 2025

We re working with a respected private training provider who is seeking a hands-on, qualified electrician to step into a rewarding Electrical Installation Tutor/Instructor role. No previous teaching experience is needed full training and support will be provided, including the opportunity to gain a teaching qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lessons on Level 2 & 3 Electrical Installation courses

• Teach both theory and practical sessions (City & Guilds)

• Cover key topics: wiring regulations (18th Edition), inspection & testing, installation best practices, and health & safety

• Set and mark assessments, track learner progress, and prepare students for exams and real-world application

• Follow schemes of work, maintain records, and ensure compliance with health & safety

Essential Requirements:

• Fully qualified electrician (apprenticeship served preferred)

• City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition)

• City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent (with inspection & testing experience)

• Willingness to travel to York for initial training

Desirable:

• Teaching or training experience (not essential)

• Additional electrical qualifications
