About the Role Due to business growth, we are recruiting a talented Head of Procurement to drive performance improvements within the regional procurement function across the UK & Ireland. The Head of Procurement will expand, lead, shape, and develop a centralised procurement function supporting all business entities in the region. Key duties and goals include: Lead and mentor regional procurement teams, with a focus on capability building and succession planning. Support business growth through strategic sourcing and enhanced risk management. Provide senior leadership continuity and operational support to the Director of Procurement. Strengthen procurement governance, supplier relationships, and ESG/CO₂ strategy execution. Improve spend control and stakeholder engagement across all entities. Align with Regional Procurement Strategy, Indirects, and Governance & Digitalisation teams to ensure consistency and compliance. Oversee procurement integration across all businesses in line with regional objectives. Drive continuous improvement and alignment with UK & Ireland business goals. Develop and implement procurement strategies that reflect both local and regional priorities. Enhance supplier performance, contract optimisation, and digital procurement capabilities. Act as the primary contact for key suppliers and coordinate performance reviews. Provide expert procurement advice to regional leadership. Collaborate with the Procurement Business Partner to improve reporting and insights. This regional role requires regular travel across the UK & Ireland. A company car/allowance is provided. Hours of Work: 35 hours a week. Monday to Friday (9am to 5pm) About You You will be an established procurement senior leader, with strong experience in management and coaching, plus strong experience of supplier-facing procurement activity. You will be accomplished at managing change and delivering transformation activity which embed best practice. You will also have * Proven leadership experience managing Procurement Managers and their teams. * Demonstrated success in senior procurement roles within complex, multi-entity, and multi-site organisations. * Strong track record in leading transformation and integration initiatives. * MCIPS qualified. * Degree-level education or equivalent experience/training. * Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. * Strong commercial acumen and negotiation capability. * Highly analytical with strong numerical skills. * Proficient in SAP/ERP systems. * Skilled in Microsoft Office applications. * Understanding of Health & Safety practices (IOSH or equivalent preferred). * Able to communicate strategies and concepts clearly and effectively. * Full UK driving licence with flexibility for regular travel.
